The Royal Canadian Legion - Collingwood Branch (63)
Collingwood Branch (63)
Collingwood, Ontario, Canada

In Memoriam
In April 2015, the Town of Collingwood unanimously voted that henceforth Merchant Navy Day will be commemorated on September 3, 2015, and each year thereafter, and as a result, the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 63) is partnering with the MNCTP and the Town of Collingwood in supporting this initiative.
The following statement was made by Mr. Robert Graham, President, Royal Canadian Legion, Collingwood Branch:
“The Merchant Navy Commemorative Theme Project should be commended for their work in furthering the understanding of the sacrifices faced by these brave men and women during both the First and Second World Wars, and the vital role they played in the ultimate allied victories.”
Mr. Stéphane Ouellette, President and CEO, MNCTP, replied:
“In 2003, the first ever Merchant Navy Veterans Day, under Bill C-411, was commemorated in the Town of Collingwood, Ontario, Canada, for which the Royal Canadian Legion and many townspeople are owed a great deal of recognition for their efforts in making Merchant Navy Day in Canada a reality.”
The MNCTP is pleased to be partnering with the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 63), and adding them to our proud support roster.
